It’s hard to believe how fast summer has flown by! Like wasn’t it just January a few minutes ago? Lol. Anyway, it’s been a great summer for us with the beautiful sunny weather, spending loads of time outside and basking in the blessing of each new day. Hope your summer has been going great too?
When it comes to decorating my home, I’m a neutral girlie at heart. Neutral elements calm my soul and are greatly visually appealing to me. But when it comes to the exterior of my home like my front porch? That’s where I’m very adventurous with color. My creative juices (more like my color juices haha) run wild! Like, full throttle! I want my front porch to be easily distinguishable.

The color of this summer season was Buttery Yellow and so I played into it. A fun, vibrant color. Now, this is a color I have never used in decorating my home and thought of no better place to try it than my front porch. Of course, I always like to keep it simple and elegant. You know, let the pieces speak for themselves and I love how everything turned out and hope you’re inspired by it.
When I posted this reel across my social media channels, I was not prepared for the amount of flack I was going to receive by virtue of the “Welcome mat” I layered my area rug with! lol The movie “Sinners” had recently been released in the theatres and my audience (who had watched the movie) thought it was a bad idea for me to style with the mat. I love it, but what do you guys think? Should I remove the mat or keep it?
